Director Hari, who is currently working on Suriya’s S3, has received death threats from his neighbours over parking space.
Sources said that his neighbours Karthick and Karuppusamy allegedly threatened him by saying they would hurl bombs at his house.
“Hari has been threatened with dire consequences by Karthick and Karuppusamy that they would throw bomb on his house. This incident has occurred at 2:00 am on Tuesday morning and again at 7:00 am in the presence of Hari,” sources said.
It added: “A police complaint has been filed by Director Hari at R5 Virugambakkam Police station against both of them. Those two persons are said to be neighbours of Hari. The police have filed a nuisance case under Section 75. Veteran Stunt choreographeran Secretary of the Guild Jaguar Thangam was in the Virugambakkam Police Station with Hari.”
Hari is best known for his action-masala films. He first joined as an assistant and gained experience working with directors K Natraj in Valli, Nassar in Avatharam and Alex Pandian. Later he assisted K. Balachander in his film Kalki and worked as an associate director with Saran in films Amarkalam and Parthen Rasithen.
His first film, in 2002, was Thamizh with Prashanth and Simran. A critic commented that it was “one of the few movies in recent times where a lot of importance seems to have been attached to the script. In spite of the flimsy story and routine screenplay where a youth grows to be a ‘dada’, the dialogs elevate the quality of the movie and make it very enjoyable”.
