With his best caliber of fresh music that appeals to the music lovers, he has left no stone unturned collaborating with big names in the industry. The latest one to join the league is his association with National award-winner GV Prakash who has rendered his voice in a music video titled “Oh Penne”. In his musical journey of just seven songs, he has already collaborated with big names like Dhanush, Yogi B and twice with Anirudh. Collaborating with GV Prakash has added another feather to his cap.
The song titled “Oh Penne” is a melancholic melody, featuring popular artistes, the official announcements about which are planned to be revealed soon.
Sharing the great news of collaborating with GV Prakash Kumar, Ganesh Chandrasekaran says, “GV Prakash is the name that came up in my mind when I thought about the vocals for the song. This song needed a breezy voice, and I was confident that his vocals would work for the song”. When asked about how he was able to reach him, the young composer said, “I have been in contact with a lot of composers and singers in the industry. I am not a new person to many in the industry. So that gives me the luxury of asking them to collaborate on a song. GV Prakash was super-fast in responding and he wanted to sing the song the very next day. But I had to delay his recording because of pending work on the track. So, I asked him to do it the following week, to which he gracefully agreed.
I had recently moved to Germany for my upcoming projects, so that threw up a challenge to collaborate. Since the pandemic, many sessions have been conducted remotely. This song is one such. GV Prakash had to redo the song as I asked him for a lot of changes. He was at ease in singing the track and he loved the composition. You can listen to a similar voice that mesmerized all of us in Raja Rani.”
The lyrics are written by the composer himself and the music video is directed by “Otha Thamara” fame TR Bala.
The song is choreographed by Sridhar master. Cinematography is handled by Arjun Raja and edited by Deepak Dwarakanath. The music video has been produced by Cinema Rasa and Ganny Records.
