Tamil Nadu governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao today visited chief minister J Jayalalithaa in the ward at Apollo Hospital in Chennai where she is undergoing treatment and was “happy to note that she is progressing well”.
Vidyasagar Rao, who spent around 30 minutes at the Hospital, visited the ward where she was undergoing treatment and enquired with the doctors about the health condition of the Chief Minister and also about the nature of treatment being given to her.
“Dr Pratap C Reddy, chairman of Apollo Hospitals, briefed the governor in detail about the treatment being given to the chief minister,” a Raj Bhavan release said.
He told the governor that Jayalalithaa is being treated by a team of experts consisting of doctors from the critical care group of Apollo Hospitals, a senior cardiologist, a senior respiratory physician, a senior consultant on infectious diseases, an endocrinologist, a diabetologist and dieticians.
“The Governor is happy to note that the Hon’ble Chief Minister is progressing well.” It also added that the Governor visited the ward in which Jayalalithaa is being treated.
The Raj Bhavan released noted that the CM is “interacting and responding remarkably to the treatment,” and the governor thanked doctors for the excellent treatment being provided to the CM.
