Ghosty movie review
Story:
K S Ravikumar is a convict who escapes from prison with the intention of killing the cops who were responsible for his arrest.
Kajal Agarwal is an inspector who plans to foil Ravikumar’s attemple.
Meanwhile, ghosts enter Kajal Agarwal’s house creating mayhem.
To escape from the ghosts, Kajal approaches a few spiritual leaders. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Director Kalyan has set aside logic and has made the movie with the sole intention of entertaining the audience.
However, the age old script and confusing screenplay makes it difficult for the audience to enjoy the movie.
Kajal Agarwal delivers a decent performance as a cop who is caught between the torture of K S Ravikumar on one side and the ghosts on other side.
She has a good screen presence, but could have been utilised in a better manner.
The movie has an ensemble of cast including Yogi Babu, KS Ravikumar, Jay, Jegan, Redin Kingsly, Mayilsamy, Sriman, Urvashi, Radhika Sarathkumar, Subbu Panchu, Swaminathan, Mayilsamy, Suresh Menon and Sathyan.
With so many characters, they could have been utilised in a better manner.
Sam CS’ background score is good. Cinematography by Jacob Rathinaraj is impressive.
Rating: 3.2/5
