Gautham Menon not playing Dhanush’s villain
Sources close to director Gautham Vasudev Menon have refuted reports in few sections of the media, which claimed that he would play the villain in Dhanush’s an upcoming film.
There were reports that Gautham would be the baddie in Dhanush-starrer Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta which is being directed by none other than himself.
“Gautham sir is not playing the baddie. He is too busy juggling between the sets of two projects, including ‘Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada’ with actor Simbu. Where will he have the time to act? It’s just a rumour that’s going around,” sources said.
The film features Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead roles. It began production in March 2016. Gautham Vasudev Menon first revealed that he had prepared a script titled Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta during mid-2013, when he narrated the film to Suriya.
The pair opted not to work on the project and instead began pre-production work on another film, Dhruva Natchathiram instead during the period. In March 2016, Gautham Menon announced that he would be directing the film, which would now feature Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead roles.
Cinematographer Jomon T. John joined the team in March 2016. The project was officially launched on 14 March 2016 in Chennai. It is said that the film is being shot in scenic spots in Turkey and at SSN College of Engineering in Chennai.
