Gautham Menon announces comeback, but Karthick Naren is not happy

Director Gautham Vasudev Menon, who was lying low because of financial issues which stalled the release of his films Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta and Dhruva Natchathiram, has announced his comeback in style.

He has given hot updates on his next three films in one go. The first is the release of date of Dhanush starrer Enai Noki Paayum Thotta which has been locked for the 20 November.

ENPT has been snapped up by Ishari Ganesh of Vels Films International for whom Gautham is doing a film titled Joshua Imai Pol Kaaka.

Talking about it, Gautham posted: “It’s been exciting to film a complete action flick with my hero Varun who’s pulled off some stylish action sequences and is ready to do more. ‘Joshua’ Imai pol kaakha.. And this action wouldn’t have been possible without my stunt director Yannick Ben. Thank you, team, Joshua.”

On Vikram starrer Dhruva Natchathiram, he said, “And The Season doesn’t end without this film that’s really close to my heart & is hopefully state of the art. Tremendous& positive experience working with THE Chiyaan Vikram! DN in post-production over the next 60 days and heading towards release.”

Says Varun, who was recently seen in Puppy, “Joshua is a complete action film, different from what Gautham had done before with the elements we love to see from his films. The film will be on par with Hollywood standards. Yannick Ben who had choreographed action sequences for many Hollywood films and had worked in Gautham’s Dhruva Natchathiram is on board as the stunt director.”

Meanwhile, director Karthick Naren, whose Naragasooran is bankrolled by Gautham Menon, is upset that there are no updates regarding the movie’s release.

Reacting to Gautham’s tweets, he wrote: “Some clarity on when this is gonna see the light of the day will be really helpful sir. And yes, this film is very very close to my heart! pic.twitter.com/1eFoEFub3u.”
