First look of Suriya’s Karuppu released
The stylish first look was unveiled on July 22, 2025, ahead of the film’s teaser release, which coincides with Suriya’s 50th birthday on July 23, 2025.
In the poster, Suriya is seen in a striking look, wearing a black shirt and a matching veshti, paired with stylish aviator sunglasses and smoking a cigar, exuding confidence and flair.
“Karuppu” is directed by RJ Balaji and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan, reuniting with Suriya after a long time. Sai Abhyankkar is composing the music for the film.
Reports suggest that “Karuppu” will delve into serious political themes such as social justice, hostile situations, and caste oppression. Suriya is said to be playing the role of a lawyer in the film, and there are also speculations about him portraying a dual role, possibly also a priest, which would add a spiritual element to the narrative.
