The first look of the much awaited Baahubali 2, a sequel to last year’s blockbuster Baahubali, will be unveiled on October 23.
In a statement, the film’s publicist said, “The makers are planning to offer a double treat to the audience and are planning to lock a particular content from the sequel which can be released on Prabhas’ birthday”.
It is to be noted that it has been annnounced already that Baahubali 2, which too is being helmed by S S Rajamouli will be hitting the screens on April 28, 2017.
Rajamouli is planning to complete the shoot by November of this year and then, the team will fully concentrate on the post-production and CG works.
Baahubali 2 is the continuation of Baahubali: The Beginning. Both parts were jointly produced on a budget of Rs 250 crore (US$37 million). As of August 2015, 40% of the filming was completed.
Shooting for the remaining sequences commenced from 17 December 2015 in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The director revealed that the second part would be “more emotional and with more grandeur”, while speaking at Busan Asian Film Market.
The film series is touted to be the most expensive in India till date. The screen writer, K. V. Vijayendra Prasad who wrote stories for most of Rajamouli’s films once again penned the story for Baahubali.
R.C.Kamalakannan is chosen as visual effects supervisor and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the Editor. PM Satheesh is the sound designer and Peter Hein is responsible for the action sequences. The costume designers are Rama Rajamouli and Prasanth Tripuraneni. The line producer is M.M Srivalli. The film shooting started on 17 December 2015 at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad with Prabhas and Ramya Krishna.
