Farhana movie review
Story:
Aishwarya Rajesh is from a conservative Muslim family, who works in her family business of making footwear.
She is supported by her husband, who has progressive thoughts about women.
When one of Farhana’s kids fall sick, she decides to take up a new job as a customer care representative, where she begins talking to a stranger.
This drastically changes her life. What happens to her and how she survives it forms the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Director Nelson Venkatesan tries to bring about a story of a woman who breaks out of her shell and wants to work, and the things that she has go across to get it done.
The first half has a social drama angle to it, and is followed by the second half which takes the route of a thriller.
Aishwarya Rajesh’s performance works out well for the character.
She delivers in the role in a matured way. Jithan Ramesh is a good pick for the role, and he does justice by delivering what the character demands.
Selvaraghavan is impressive in his role. Performances of Rest of the cast including Aishwarya Dutta, Anumol and Kitty are laudable.
Justin Prabahakaran’s music is convincing and Gokul Benoy’s camerawork is impressive.
