ELEPHANTINE X’S “RAJA’S PLAYLIST” STARRING DEBUTANT JAIYAN SUCCESSFULLY WRAPS SHOOT; POST-PRODUCTION BEGINS IN FULL SWING
Late Veteran Producer R.D. Bhaskar’s Son Jaiyan Completes His Debut Film; Musical Family Drama Brings Together Venkat Prabhu, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sudha Kongara & Producer Ramanan Balagangatharan
Elephantine X’s much-awaited musical family drama “Raja’s Playlist” has officially completed its entire shoot and has now entered the post-production stage. The film marks the acting debut of Jaiyan, the youngest son of late veteran producer R.D. Bhaskar and nephew of legendary composer Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja.
From the very beginning, Raja’s Playlist has garnered immense attention for bringing together some of the most celebrated names in Tamil cinema, all united by decades of friendship and admiration for the late R.D. Bhaskar and his family.
Producer Ramanan Balagangatharan came forward to back the project as a heartfelt gesture of friendship, while Venkat Prabhu penned the story, Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music, and acclaimed filmmaker Sudha Kongara joined the film as its Creative Producer. Their collaboration stands as a tribute to the lasting relationships built by R.D. Bhaskar over the years.
The film is directed by Sujith N. Subramaniam, who makes his directorial debut after earning appreciation as the cinematographer of the acclaimed film Kudumbasthan. He has also written the screenplay based on Venkat Prabhu’s story.
Speaking about the successful completion of the shoot, producer Ramanan Balagangatharan said:

The film features Jaiyan alongside Sona Olickal, Vagai Chandrasekhar, Guru Somasundharam, Roju, Bibian, Aarya Lakshmi, Pragadeeshwaran Poobalam, Indhumathy, Reshmi, Rajinth, Ramkumar, Meena, and Thilagavathi in pivotal roles.
With filming now wrapped, the team has commenced post-production, where the film’s music, visuals and technical work will be completed. Backed by a talented cast, an accomplished technical crew and the magical music of Yuvan Shankar Raja, Raja’s Playlist promises to offer audiences an emotionally rich musical experience when it reaches theatres.
