Dubbing studio in SPB’s name inaugurated

After the demise of legendary singer S P Balasubramanyam, Dubbing Union president Radha Ravi announced that a dubbing studio will be inaugurated in the legendary singer’s name.

Now that has been fulfilled as the South Indian Cine, Television Artistes and Dubbing Artistes Union has inaugurated a dubbing studio in the name of SPB.

Dubbing Union president Radha Ravi inaugurated the studio in the presence of the Union Members. Apart from being a renowned singer, SPB has also dubbed for several artistes.

His dubbing for Kamal Haasan in Dasavatharam Telugu version was appreciated by many.

Days after S P Balasubrahmanyam who passed away, celebrities paid rich tributes on him at a function.

Kamal Haasan said, “If he had only been singing Telugu songs, he’d have sung only for Maro Charitra. But since he was a pan-Indian singer, especially one who journeyed along with me. Whichever language I went to, Annaya garu’s voice came along as a source of strength.

For some north Indian heroes, his voice was a tool to sustain their market. He’d have stopped me from saying this if he were alive, but I guess I can say this now… this kind of achievement is impossible for any other singer, even singers whom he worshipped. What kind of statistic is 40,000-plus songs! Even if we take his career to be 54 years, that would have been possible only if he had sung more than two songs a day!”

Bharathiraja said, “Millions of people heart he lived as Isai Dheivam, he was friend, SPB. A few things can’t be shared. We were friends for more than 50 years. He was a good human being more than a good singer.

He even respects a children. He never had the smallest of pride that he has sung so many songs. I can’t imagine he is not here. It is a huge loss to the people not only his family. There is no compensation for his loss. I don’t know how to console his family. We have to be a good human being like him that is the biggest tribute to him.”
