DMK releases candidates list and Manifesto, AIADMK announces candidates for 16 constituencies

DMK on Wednesday released its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The DMK manifesto was out in the presence of state CM CM MK Stalin, DMK MP Kanimozhi and other party leaders.

During the launch, CM Stalin said, said, “It is not just a manifesto for DMK but it is a manifesto for the people of Tamil Nadu. The fascist BJP has wasted India in all ways. The PM-led Modi government did not fulfill any promises. They destroyed the infrastructure of India. It is not good anymore for PM Modi’s rule to continue. As a result of the care we got, we have formed I.N.D.I.A. bloc.”

The ruling party of Tamil Nadu also unveiled first list of candidates that will be contesting in the upcoming General Election.

These include North Chennai-Kalanidhi Veeraswamy; South Chennai- Thamizhachi Thangapandian; Central Chennai-Dayanidhi Maran; Sriperumbudur- TR Baalu; Thiruvanamalai- Annadurai; Nilgiris-A Raja, and Thoothukudi-Kanimozhi.

Meanwhile, AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami made an unexpected move on Wednesday by announcing 16 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu, even before finalising the party’s alliance partners.

Krishnagiri – Jayaprakash
Erode – Atral Ashok Kumar
Chidambaram – Chandrahaasan
Madurai – Saravanan
Theni – VD Narayanasamy
Nagapattinam – Surjith Sankar
Namakkal – Tamil Mani
Salem – Vignesh
Villupuram – Bakkiyaraj
