Dhruv, son of actor Vikram, is making his debut with Varma directed by Bala. The first look and teaser of the movie, which were released recently, evoked mixed responses.
It has now emerged that Dhruv, who was in the United States doing his studies, would go back to the US soon to continue it.
In an interview, Vikram revealed that Dhruv has asked him to not disturb his film making course in the US. The nineteen-year-old actor has completed the shoot and is wrapping up the dubbing.
Sources say that Dhruv will be returning back to the US to resume his studies and he is not in a mood to sign back to back movies like other young actors.
Dhruv Vikram celebrated his birthday on Sunday in style as the teaser of his debut Tamil film Varma was launched at a popular star hotel in Chennai.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram said he feels proud as a father and Dhruv has done a great job. He also heaped laurels on director Bala for help moulding the career of both him and his son.
The one-minute long teaser seems to attempt a frame-to-frame adaptation of Arjun Reddy with minor changes. Dhruv tries to look convincing in the lead role, but needs to work more on his expressions.
Dhruv said, “I don’t know what my producer Mukesh saw in the fun Dubsmash videos which I posted long back; he was impressed and approached my dad whether I would be interested to play the lead in the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy.”
