Dhanush’s Idly Kadai trailer to release on 20 September
The highly-anticipated trailer launch of Dhanush’s upcoming film Idly Kadai will be held at Pro Zone Mall in Coimbatore.
Directed and co-produced by Dhanush under his banner Wunderbar Films, in association with Dawn Pictures, Idly Kadai has already generated significant excitement.
The film is Dhanush’s fourth directorial venture and features an ensemble cast including Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, and Rajkiran in key roles.
The film’s music, composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, has also been a talking point, especially the track “Enjaami Thandhaane,” which was performed live by Dhanush and his son Lingaa at the film’s recent audio launch.
The title “Idly Kadai,” which translates to “Idli Shop,” holds a personal and emotional connection for the star.
At the audio launch, Dhanush revealed that the story is inspired by his childhood memories of craving idlis but not being able to afford them.
He shared an emotional anecdote about how he and his sisters would collect flowers to earn money to buy idlis, a simple meal that brought immense satisfaction. This sentiment is expected to be a central theme in the film, which is described as a soulful drama.
With the film’s theatrical release scheduled for October 1, the trailer is expected to provide a deeper look into the film’s plot and characters.
The first-look posters have already teased the roles of the main cast, including Arun Vijay as a boxer and Rajkiran as a character named Sivanesan, who is central to the story’s backdrop.
