Dhanush, VJS, Parthiban, Imman win National Awards
Dhanush got his second National award for his role in Asuran. Dhanush had earlier won the National Award for his film Aadukalam in 2011.
Asuran was also adjudged the Best Tamil movie. Both Asuran and Aadukalam were directed by Vettri Maaran.
Vijay Sethupathi won his first National Award for Super Deluxe.
The 67th National Awards were announced for the films that were released in 2019. The National Awards were not announced last year due to the pandemic.
Parthiban’s Oththa Seruppu Size 7 bagged two awards, one for the Special Jury Award and another for the movie’s audiography which was designed by Resul Pookutty.
Naga Vishal was awarded the Best Child Artist award for his performance in KD.
Meanwhile, music composer D Imman bagged the Best Music (songs) award for Viswasam.
