Dhanush, Simran, Anjali, Tamannah convey Maha Sivarathri wishes

Maha Sivarathri was celebrated on Friday with spiritual zeal by people from all walks of life, including film personalities.

Dhanush, who visited his family deity temple in Theni and Sri Nellaiyappar temple in Tirunelveli with his family members including wife Aishwarya, posted on his Twitter page along with a picture of Lord Siva: ” Maha shivraathri … Om Namashivaaya.”

Simran stated: “This Maha Shivratri, may the almighty Lord Shiva provide you with all good things and perfect health. Happy Maha Shivratri to you all!#Mahashivratri #HappyShivratri #Shivratri2020.”

Anjali wrote: “Here’s wishing everyone a very happy #Mahashivratri Stay blessed !! Stay happy ☺”.

Tamannah said: “Here’s wishing everyone a very happy #Mahashivratri! Stay blessed! Stay happy ☺”.

Leaders also wished people on Maha Sivarathri. President of India Ram NathKovind posted: “Greetings and good wishes to all fellow citizens on Mahashivaratri. May the blessings of Lord Shiva bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone’s life.”

“On the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, I wish the devout community around the world. On this occasion, when we illuminate our homes, we pray to Lord Shiva to bless us with wisdom and courage to overcome the flaws within,” Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that the blessings of Baba Bholenath — as Lord Shiva is also popularly called — bring happiness, peace, prosperity and good fortune in the lives of all countrymen.
