Daniel Balaji, who has worked with both Dhanush and Vetrimaaran, nine years ago, in Polladhavan, has joined hands with the director and the actor once again.
According to sources, the Vettaiyadu Vilayadu actor will be playing a powerful villain in Dhanush-Vetri Maaran’s much-awaited film, Vada Chennai.
Tipped to be the most ambitious project in the career of Vetrimaaran, most popular for helming Aadukalam and Visaaranai, the film will mark the filmmaker’s third time collaboration with Dhanush after Polladhavan.

Dhanush has set aside 200 days to on the project, which will also feature Daniel Balaji and Pasupathy among others.For the first time in his career, Dhanush will be essaying dual roles in this film.
“Daniel Balaji was called in for a look test recently in Chennai, and only then, was he finalised for the role in Vada Chennai. His role is a very crucial one, and he will sport a completely new look this time,” sources said.
Vada Chennai will be produced by Dhanush under his home banner Wunderbar Films. The film, which will track 30 years in the life of a gangster, will be filmed in two parts over a course of a year.
