Dhanush begins shooting for Vaathi
Dhanush was last seen in Atrangi Re, in which he shared screen space with Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan.
The film skipped theatrical release and premiered on Disney+Hotstar on December 23.
Atrangi Re has been receiving mixed reviews from critics and audience alike.
On January 3, Dhanush attended the puja of his upcoming film, Vaathi (Sir in Telugu). The puja ceremony was attended by the cast and crew in Hyderabad.
The official Twitter handle of Sithara Entertainments shared the photos and wrote, “An Auspicious start to an Ambitious Journey of a common man. #Vaathi / #Sir took off today with a Pooja. Regular Shoot from 5th Jan! (sic).”
Vaathi will feature Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon in lead roles. Renowned filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas gave the first clap for Vaathi.
