Court stops Sasikala Pushpa’s ‘marriage’

A Family Court in Madurai today restrained on the proposed marriage of Rajya Sabha MP Sasikala Pushpa with Oriental Science University Vice-Chancellor Ramasamy .
The court prononuced the judgement following a petition filed by T Sathya Priya (34) who claimed to be the second wife of Ramasamy.
Sathyapriya, 34, of Manikandan Nagar in Villapuram, who arrived at the collectorate carrying an infant a few days ago, claimed that she had married B Ramasamy of Viswanoor, R S Mangalam in Ramanathapuram district on December 10, 2014 at a hall in Jeeva Nagar.
She said that her father had been looking for a bridegroom for her on a matrimonial site when her family was introduced to Ramasamy, a widower who claimed to have been working as a judge in New Delhi.
“He already had a daughter from his first marriage but we agreed to look after her,” she said adding that none of his relatives had turned up for the marriage and he did not seem to mind it.
“We have a one-and-half-year-old daughter and his marriage with Sasikala Pushpa should be stopped,” she said in her petition.
