Congress govt in K’taka should resign: Tamilisai

The BJP workers led by state president Tamilisai Soundararajan on Wednesday staged a demonstration at Valluvarkottam in Chennai to protest against the attacks against Tamil people and their properties in Karnataka.

A huge posse of policemen was deployed at the protest venue to avert any untoward incident.

Speaking on the occasion, Tamilisai Soundararajan said the Congress government in Karnataka should resign, owing moral responsibility to the violence.

“The Congress-led government in the state is orchestrating the attacks to retain power. The BJP will not stay silent if the Tamil population is assaulted,” she added.

She earlier said although the release of Cauvery water to the state by Karnataka as per the directive of the Supreme Court, came as a relief, it was not adequate to raise samba crops.

“The release of water from Cauvery following the Supreme Court order, though came as a relief, it is not enough to raise samba crops,” Tamilisai Soundararajan told reporters in Coimbatore.
