Though it was initially announced that both Ajith’s Viswasam and superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta would simultaneously hit the screens on January 10 ahead of Pongal, it seems there is a confusion now over the release of Viswasam.
“#Viswasam Koyambedu @RohiniSilverScr bookings update only after final date confirmation by the production. Some confusion persists,” posted Nikilesh Surya, who manages Rohini Silver Screens at Koyambedu.
According to sources, the release of Viswasam might slightly get advanced or delayed in a bid to ensure smooth release of both the big movies. A formal announcement is expected to be made today or tomorrow.
The trailer of Ajith’s upcoming film, Viswasam, was released on Sunday. The film is his fourth collaboration with filmmaker Siva and it is produced by Sathyajyothi Films.
Starring Ajith and Nayanthara in the lead, the film’s music has been composed by D Imman. The film is set to release for Pongal 2019.
Viswasam trailer has shown that Ajith also has a strong contender for the huge bash that is set to take place next month, as superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta too is set to hit the screens on January 10.
At one point in the trailer, while Jagpathi Babu, who was initially assumed to be the villain, says he is the hero of his story; Ajith laughs and explains how he is the villain.
From the past, when Ajith’s character falls in love with Nayanthara’s and flirts with her to the present, when they are married with a kid, the leading man’s role is much like the one in his previous outing Veeram, which was also directed by Siva.
