Director-cinematographer Antony has filed a complaint that Jayam Ravi’s upcoming film Bogan was based on a story written by him.
Leveling charges on the movie’s director Lakshman, he said that the Romeo Juliet maker had lifted his story, but failed to give him due credits.
Sources say that Ravi will be seen as an upright police officer in the film while Arvind Swamy plays the role of a prince. The movie is being produced by Prabhu Deva.
Hansika is the heroine. Prabhu Deva watched the rough cut of the movie recently and was all prasise for it.
“I have told Ravi that Bogan will take him to the next level, we are planning for December release. Arvind Swamy and Hansika too have given their best for the film,” he said.
Bogan is an action film written and directed by Lakshman and produced by Prabhu Deva. The film stars Jayam Ravi, Arvind Swamy , Hansika Motwani and Akshara Gowda in the leading roles.
Featuring music composed by D. Imman, the film began production during March 2016, and will be released during late 2016.
Following the commercial success of Romeo Juliet (2015), Lakshman and Jayam Ravi announced that they would collaborate for another venture together.
