The audio of Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, composed by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman, will be released very soon (May 26), it is learnt. The film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon has Simbu in the lead role.

Manjima Mohan plays the female lead. Kona Venkat, the producer of Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo (the Telugu version of AYM) confirmed the news and stated the date will be revealed on May 26.

Initially titled as Sattendru Maarathu Vaanillai, the film is a love story that enters a violent action space.

Principal photography commenced in November 2013, however, in June 2014, filming schedules were postponed until Menon completed his other project Yennai Arindhaal (2015) with Ajith Kumar. Filming recommenced on 21 February 2015, majority of shooting was done in Chennai, India. The filming was completed on March 6, 2016.

The film features film score and soundtrack album composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Thamarai. It is simultaneously made in Telugu as Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo with Naga Chaitanya and Manjima Mohan in lead roles.

Gautham outlined the storyline of the film, stating, “This film is a feel-good love story and a story of friendship. It is the story of a happy-go-lucky guy (played by Silambarasan) who is looking to do normal things in life but then, a situation is thrown at him and it changes everything.”

The film’s story is inspired by the scene in the film The Godfather where a bruised Michael Corleone plots revenge against the corrupt policeman McCluskey.

More
