CM Vijay warns ministers of strict action against corruption
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has told ministers that anyone found involved in corruption or administrative irregularities will face removal from the cabinet, reaffirming his government’s focus on transparent governance.
During a cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat on Thursday, the Chief Minister instructed ministers to ensure that their departments function without corruption and that public services are delivered without demands for bribes.
According to ministers who attended the meeting, Vijay said the government must honour the trust placed in it by the people and demonstrate its commitment to clean administration through its actions. He also stressed that disciplinary action would be taken against anyone violating the government’s anti-corruption policy, regardless of their position.
The Chief Minister also directed ministers to prevent the growing trend of recording and sharing social media reels inside schools and colleges.
The instruction follows criticism over videos reportedly filmed on educational campuses involving members of the ruling party. Ministers were asked to ensure that educational institutions remain free from such activities and that officials strictly enforce the government’s guidelines.
