CM Stalin deploys more ministers for rescue op
Chief minister M K Stalin on Wednesday deployed more ministers to intensify rescue and relief operations in Chennai.
Minister S Regupathy will be in charge of K K Nagar and MGR Nagar, CV Meyyanathan will look after Semmanchery and Perumbakkam and R S Rajakannappan for Royapuram. School education minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi will hold charge of Arumbakkam in addition to Villivakkam, Anna Nagar, Ambattur, and K K Nagar areas.
The chief minister also ordered industries minister T R B Raaja to gather information related to floodaffected people appearing on television and social media, coordinate necessary assistance and carry out rescue operations, along with revenue and disaster management minister KKSSR Ramachandran, who monitors the flood affected areas at the state emergency operations centre in Ezhilagam, issuing necessary directions to the officials for rescue work,and act on the complaints from the public.
