DMK treasurer M K Stalin had a close shave on Tuesday night after a car rammed his car when he was on his way to Dharmapuri from Vellore.
Stalin’s car and another four-wheeler brushed against each other at Pallikonda, but none was injured in the mishap, sources said.
It is said both the vehicles, proceeding in the same direction, suffered damage before coming to a halt. 63-year-old Stalin, the Leader of the Opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly, continued his journey to Dharmapuri in another car to attend a party functionary’s wedding.
Sources said the car tried to over take his vehicle in front of the toll gate, lost control and damaged Stalin’s car destroying the right end front lamp cluster.
It may be recalled that this is the second such incident for Stalin in one month.
Only in October, one the wheels of his car blew up near Guindy due to excess tyre pressure. He was on his way to the airport when the incident happened.
