Caterpillar India Launches ‘Viruksham’and ‘Nalanda’ for Enhanced Customer Experience and Training Centre
Caterpillar Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives, celebrated a significant milestone with the grand opening of the Building Construction Products (BCP) Division’s Customer Experience Centre. Senior Vice President Otto Breitschwerdt and Vice President of Distribution & Marketing, JR Lorenzetti, jointly inaugurated the centre, signifying the dawn of a new era focused on upgrading skills and enhancing customer benefits.
Named’Viruksham’ and’Nalanda’, the Customer Centre and Training Centre, respectively, hold a deep significance. ‘Viruksham’ a Tamil word that embodies the spirit of a Beneficial Tree, symbolizing life, growth, and stability, reflects Caterpillar India’s connection to nature and the environment. ‘Nalanda’ translates as “giver of knowledge” and pays homage to one of India’s ancient universities, established in the 5th century BC.
