Bommainayagi movie review
Story:
Yogi Babu works in a tea shop near Cuddalore. Since the shipowner is not well, he is jobless at the moment.
During a temple festival in the village, people from an upper caste try to sexually abuse Yogi Babu’s nine-year-old daughter.
But he manages to save her. He files a case against the perpetrators.
They are put behind the bars after the initial hearing.
However, they are released after further appealing.
They come out and hatch a plan to take their revenge on Yogi Bab.
What happens next forms the rest of the story .
Analysis:
Director Shan has spoke about two important aspects in the movie.
One is about the caste politics and the other is about the sexual abuse against girl children.
He has balanced both the plots in a convincing manner.
When it comes to stories like this, it is important that the audience are able to empathise with the lead character.
Yogi Babu fits in the role perfectly. The way he conveys the feelings of the character is top notch. Subathra as his wife has also complimented him well.
Baby Srimathi has delivered what was expected from here and is impressive.
Cinematographer Adhisayaraj has captured the nativity of Cuddalore effectively.
KS Sundaramorthy’s music adds more emotion to the storyline.
