Bomb threat to AIADMK headquarters in Chennai
The AIADMK headquarters in Royapettah, Chennai, received an email threatening the presence of a bomb on the premises.
In response, the police immediately alerted the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), who conducted a thorough inspection of the building using sniffer dogs. After a detailed search, the threat was determined to be a false alarm.
Authorities are now investigating the origin of the email and are working to identify the individual responsible for the hoax.
This incident adds to a series of similar false threats reported across Tamil Nadu in recent weeks, including hoax bomb threats at the GST and customs offices in Chennai and the Madras High Court.
The AIADMK leadership has condemned the act, emphasizing the need for stringent measures to prevent such disruptions.
They have also called for swift action against those responsible for creating panic and misusing emergency resources.
