Veteran director Bharathiraja came out with a statement today, hitting out at the makers of Irandam Kuthu for explicit content.
“I wonder whether women are there or not in the family of the makers of the movie. It is shocking to see the first look poster which is very insulting,” he said.
Bharathiraja said as a senior, he would condemn such acts and urged the government and the Censor Board to take action against those making such movies.
The first look poster of Santhosh P Jaikumar’s Irandam Kuththu was recently out. There have been varied reactions to the poster, and many have expressed shock over it and condemned it.
Santhosh said that he wanted to make things clear through the poster. “This is an adult horror comedy and I wanted to establish that through my first look poster.
This is not a continuation of Iruttu Arayil Murattu Kuthu ( IAMK) and has a different storyline. However, the genre remains the same. There is a lot more colour to this one, and story-wise, too, this is so much better,” says Santhosh.
The film has actresses — Karishma and Akriti — from Mumbai — playing the female leads with Danny, Motta Rajendran, Ravi Maria, Chaams and Manobala in important roles.
“The film has been completed and run by the censor board. As usual, it’s an A certified adult comedy horror film. It will not be a direct sequel to IAMK but a continuation of the franchise.
