The first look of Director S S Rajamouli’s much-awaited film ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ will be shown at the upcoming Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival on October 22.
The team will also launch the teaser to a virtual reality spin-off film set around the world of Baahubali, and give the audience a sneak peek into a game and comic based on the epic franchise.
Rajamouli said in a statement: “I am really excited to share the first look of Baahubali 2 with all the fans. Doing it at MAMI Mela is going to be a lot of fun, especially with the entire cast on stage with me.”
Baahubali: The Beginning, which hit the screens last year was highly successful and grossed Rs 600 crore worldwide. The sequel starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty and Sathyaraj is slated to release on April 28, 2017.
Both parts were jointly produced on a budget of ₹2.5 billion (US$37 million). Shooting for the remaining sequences commenced from 17 December 2015 in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
The director revealed that the second part would be “more emotional and with more grandeur”, while speaking at Busan Asian Film Market. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on 28 April 2017.
