Audi driver Aishwarya says she drank below permissible level

Audi driver Aishwarya says she drank below permissible level: The Madras High Court has dismissed the bail application of Aishwarya Wilton, who has been accused of drunken driving and killing a man.

The court dismissed the application on the ground that the accused needs to approach a lower court. In her petition, Aishwarya said that she consumed alcohol far below the allowed levels and this was clear in the report of the medical test which was taken soon after the mishap.

She also said when she was going back after meeting friends and watching film, she was told that her car hit a man who died on the spot.

The victim was later identified as K Muniswamy, who lived just across the road, with his two children, boy (16) and girl (11), and wife. That fateful Saturday morning, Muniswamy left home at 4 AM. At 4:30 AM he was killed by a speeding Audi.

According to reports, Aishwarya also said in the bail plea that only the media was blowing the issue out of proportion and she should be granted bail since she is unmarried, working in a reputed company and won prizes in many competition.
