As Vijay’s Master team releases second single, I-T raids producer’s properties

Vaathi Coming, the second single from Vijay’s Master has been released. The song, which is a kuthu number, has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander and sung by the composer along with Gana Balachander, who has also written the lyrics.

The duo also feature in the video of the song that has been released. Vaathi is short for vaathiyar, meaning teacher in Tamil.  The song is a peppy number and also has clips of dance sequences being choreographed during the shoot of the film. Gana Balachandar and Anirudh can also be seen dancing in the video.

Gana Balachandar is notable for songs like “Jithu Jilladi” from Vijay’s Theri, that he has also sung along with ‘Thenisai Thendral’ Deva. It was also announced recently that a grand audio launch for Master would take place on March 15.

However, unlike Vijay’s earlier films when huge stadiums were booked to house all his fans for the occasions, due to the coronavirus scare, the event has been organised at a hotel with limited seating for guests to avoid congregation of large crowds.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Master also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Gouri Kishan, and several others. The film is expected to hit the screens this summer, most likely on April 9.

Meanwhile, as per the latest reports, income tax officials are currently conducting raids at the residence and office of Lalith Kumar, the co-producer of Master.

Earlier, an income tax raid was held at the actor’s residences in Saligramam and Paniyur in February 2020. It may be recalled that the IT conducted raids at the Master shooting spot in Neyveli and took Vijay from there to Chennai and held an inquiry.
