Arya – Jiyen Krishnakumar’s Ambitious Cinematic Venture Ananthan Kaadu Set for Global Release on June 25
The press meet of the upcoming Tamil–Malayalam bilingual film Ananthan Kaadu was held recently in the presence of the film’s cast and crew, including actor Arya, director Jiyen Krishnakumar, actor Indrans, and other key members of the team. The media interaction provided insights into the film’s story, making process, and the vision behind the project.
During the event, the team spoke extensively about the film’s narrative, background, and production journey. Addressing questions related to certain political and historical references featured in the trailer, director Jiyen Krishnakumar clarified that while some incidents in the film are inspired by real-life events, audiences would fully understand and appreciate the complete context only by experiencing the film in theatres.
Speaking about the project, director Jiyen Krishnakumar said, “Ananthan Kaadu is not merely an action film. It is a layered story that explores human emotions, lives, and relationships. Although the film incorporates certain historical elements, it has not been created with any intention of offending any community or group of people.”
Actor Arya described the film as one of the most significant projects of his career. “This film is the result of more than two years of dedicated effort. Director Jiyen Krishnakumar has brought Murali Gopy’s multi-layered screenplay to life on screen without any compromises. Both technically and narratively, this will be a highly satisfying cinematic experience for audiences,” he said.
Arya further revealed that the film has been simultaneously made in Tamil and Malayalam, with special attention given to ensuring that audiences in both languages experience the emotions and essence of the story authentically.
He also highlighted the film’s action sequences, emotionally charged moments, and particularly the interval block, which he believes will leave a lasting impact on audiences. Arya praised the performances of fellow actors Indrans, Sunil, Vijaya Raghavan, Dev Mohan, and Nikhila Vimal for their remarkable contributions to the film.
Speaking about the technical aspects of the production, Arya commended the cinematography, stunt choreography, production design, and the unwavering dedication of the entire team. He expressed confidence that Ananthan Kaadu would offer a complete theatrical experience for moviegoers.
Actor Indrans, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shared, “I completed Ananthan Kaadu even before Karuppu. This film features one of the most important and challenging characters of my acting career. I am confident that audiences will appreciate and celebrate the role once the film is released.”
The event also acknowledged the contributions of the film’s technical crew. The team emphasized the meticulous attention given to every aspect of the production, including cinematography, action choreography, visual design, and overall technical execution.
Producer S. Vinod Kumar spoke about the film’s release strategy, stating that despite the evolving OTT landscape, the team firmly believes in the power of the theatrical experience. He announced that Ananthan Kaadu, made on a grand budget exceeding ₹60 crore, will be released worldwide in theatres, relying entirely on the support and patronage of cinema audiences.
The team also expressed their gratitude to Gokulam Movies and its chairman Gokulam Gopalan for presenting the film to audiences across the globe.
With immense anticipation surrounding its release, Ananthan Kaadu is all set to hit theatres worldwide on June 25 in both Tamil and Malayalam.
