Arvind Swamy, who is part of young director Karthick Naren’s Naragasooran, has compared the filmmaker’s sense of screenplay writing to ace director Manoj Night Shyamalan.
During an interaction with Vikatan group reporters, the Bhaskar Oru Rascal actor said that if Kollywood supports him in the right direction, this young director is capable to take Tamil cinema to the next level.
On the recent row between Gautham Vasudev Menon and Karthick Naren, he said, “I treat Karthick as a younger brother so wanted to protect him.”
He added: “Now, I don’t want to name anyone because it shouldn’t create any fresh problem for Karthick right when issues are sort of settling down.”
Arvind Swamy, who is going strong and steady in his second innings as actor, is all set to make his directorial debut with an upcoming yet-untitled flick.
In a recent interaction, Arvind revealed that he would soon be making his first film, which is expected to go on the floors later this year.
According to sources, the details regarding the official cast and crew of the project are likely to be announced shortly.
The Roja actor has also said that script is ready and his filmmaker friends have given their nod. Arvind Swamy has already confirmed the technical department for his directorial debut.
