Arulnithi’s Arulvaan screened for tribal communities ahead of theatrical release
Ahead of its theatrical release, actor Arulnithi’s upcoming film Arulvaan was showcased at a special screening for members of tribal communities living in the Anamalai Tiger Reserve near Pollachi.
The preview, organised by the film’s production team at Shakthi Cinemas in Pollachi, was attended by more than 100 indigenous residents. Transport arrangements were made for participants travelling from the reserve, while tribal schoolchildren who attended the event were presented with complimentary school bags.
Arulvaan centres on the lives of indigenous communities that have lived in the hill regions for generations. The story explores their traditions, everyday struggles and social challenges, while also highlighting the importance of women’s education and promoting greater social awareness.
Many members of the tribal community who watched the film said its portrayal closely matched their own experiences. Several viewers described the film as emotionally moving and appreciated its message on the value of educating women.
Speaking after the screening, a resident of Erumaipaarai in Topslip within the Anamalai Tiger Reserve, said the film offers a realistic depiction of the lives and hardships faced by tribal communities in the hill regions.
