Arulnithi turns Karuppusamy in Vetta Saami first glimpse

The title and first glimpse of Arulnithi’s upcoming film with Ameer have been unveiled, with the project titled Vetta Saami.

The film introduces Arulnithi in the role of Karuppusamy, a popular Tamil folk deity. The first glimpse takes viewers into a village temple festival filled with devotees, rituals, music and celebration.

Arulnithi is later shown in an intense divine avatar, while Ameer appears as a devotee participating in the religious proceedings. The glimpse hints at a story combining rural culture, spirituality and high-intensity drama.

Interestingly, the promotional glimpse was launched by director and actor RJ Balaji, who is associated with the upcoming film Karuppu.

Vetta Saami has been written and directed by M Selvakumar, whose earlier directorial work includes Bumper. Samuel Mathew is backing the film through 7 Miles Per Second Productions, making it the production house’s second feature after Siddharth’s Miss You.

The large ensemble cast includes Aadukalam Naren, Madhusudhan Rao, Hareesh Peradi, Viji Chandrasekar, Indumathi Manikandan, Mynaa Nandhini, Tamizh and several other actors. The technical team includes composer Ghibran, cinematographer RD Rajasekar and editor Ruben.

Arulnithi was most recently seen in Arulvaan, which reached theatres in July. He is also awaiting the release of Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Demonte Colony 3, scheduled for September 10. Ameer’s most recent release was Bison Kaalamaadan, the 2025 sports drama directed by Mari Selvaraj.
