Arivazhagan refuses replacing Nayanthara with Manju Warrier

Director Arivazhagan of Eeram and Kuttram 23 fame has clarified that Nayanthara hasn’t replaced Manju Warrier in his new film.

He posted on Twitter: “I want to make it clear, the buzz around here, that the script what I made for #Nayanthara is completely a psychological thriller & not the script I spoke for #ManjuWarrier earlier which was a family thriller”.

He confirmed last year that he’ll be doing a film with Nayanthara as well as with Malayalam actor Manju Warrier. Putting an end to speculations that he’d pitched the same script to both of them, the director has clarified with the tweet

“The Nayanthara-starrer is a script that requires a good production house, and we’re yet to zero in on one. The film will be a psychological thriller made tailor made for Nayanthara,” he said.

It is learnt that the producer, who originally expressed interest to associate with the project, backed out for reasons unknown. Apparently, Nayanthara has come forward to help Arivazhagan find a producer for the project as she’s very keen on doing the film.

The director had earlier said, “We hope to start the principal shooting from December (2017) end or the beginning of January. The story will be set in Chennai, and we plan to wrap up the project in 45 days.”
