Aparna Das wraps shooting for her portions in Vadhandhi 2
Actress Aparna Das has officially wrapped up her shooting schedule for the much-anticipated Vadhandhi 2.
While Amazon Prime Video has yet to make an official announcement about a second season, the actress’s social media post has all but confirmed its production.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Aparna shared a picture with actor Sasikumar, who is reportedly playing a lead role in the upcoming season. In the post, she tagged Sasikumar and the series’ writer-director Andrew Louis, along with the hashtag “V2,” a clear reference to a second season.
The actress also revealed her character’s name, “Summayya,” in the post, hinting at a fresh storyline for the new season.
The first season, Vadhandhi: The Fable of Velonie, premiered in 2022 to a mixed but generally positive reception.
It starred S.J. Suryah in a standout performance as a determined police officer investigating the murder of a young woman, Velonie.
The series was praised for its intriguing plot and strong performances, leaving audiences wondering about the possibility of a continuation.
The news of Aparna Das and Sasikumar’s involvement suggests that Vadhandhi 2 will likely feature a new case and cast, moving beyond the narrative of the first season.
