Awards and accolades faithfully follow A R Rahman. The Oscar-Grammy winner has now been elected for the World Tamilian Award.
“The Third year of World Tamilar Festival and GOTO, proudly presents the event on 6th of January in Hotel Le Royal Meridien from 10.00 am to 8.30 pm,” said a press release.
The event is planned in four sessions & will witness dignitaries from 28 countries, from the field of Art, Literature and Politics.
The event will see laureates who will be felicitated with the prestigious Sadanai Tamilan Award. To add further, the dignitaries from abroad including Sundar Pichai, Shiva Ayyadurai, Navaneetham Pillai, were suggested for the prestigious award of ‘Ulaga Tamilan’ Award.
But the panel had zeroed it down to A.R.Rahman as he is situated in Head capital of the language, Tamil Nadu and for recalling the ancient language Tamil during the Oscar ceremony.
“The GOTO is proud to present this prestigious award to the musical legend. the prestigious award will be presented by World Leaders to the legend on 6th of January eve during the ‘Ulaga Tamizhar Thirunaal’ day,” it added.
