We had reported a few months ago that young music sensation Anirudh will be teaming up with American music producer and songwriter Diplo for an independent album. Now we have more updates about it.
This Deepavali, the Kolaveri composer will be releasing an Indian version of the music group’s recent chartbuster,Cold Water, which featured vocals by Justin Bieber.
Talking about this version, Anirudh says, “This will be an Indian take on Cold Water, and we are releasing this as a precursor to our collaboration. I have retained the vocals of Bieber, but have given a south-Indian spin to the instru- mentation.”
Earlier, on how the collaboration happened, Anirudh said, “Diplo was also looking out for interesting Indian artistes to collaborate with. I met him in Mumbai, and he had already heard and liked Kolaveri and Aaluma Doluma, so there was a spark between us. After that, we kept in touch and I sent him some of my other works… my film albums.”
