Top Tollywood actor Allu Arjun and filmmaker N. Lingusami are set to team up for a yet-untitled Tamil-Telugu bilingual project, the makers have announced today.
The project, which will mark the debut of Arjun in Tamil filmdom, will roll from February next year. It will be jointly produced by K E Gnanavelraja of Studio Green and Arjun’s home banner Geetha Arts, one of the reputed production houses of Telugu cinema.
Speaking to reporters today, Gnanavelraja said, “The project has been in the offing for nearly two years. We are glad that things finally fell in place.”
Studio Green hosted a grand ceremony on this confirmation and officially beginning pre-production work. Other than the ‘Stylish Star’, the director and the producers, the occasion was also attended by veteran actor Sivakumar.
Arjun spoke in Tamil and said Chennai was where he spent his childhood. “This is my place and I always wanted to do a Tamil film,” he said.
Arjun will commence work on this project as soon as he wraps up Harish Shankar’s Telugu directorial, DJ- Duvvada Jagannadham. Lingusamy said he would complete Sandakozhi 2 with Vishal first and then start this flick.
