After joining hands with Udhayanidhi Stalin in Kanne Kalaimaane, Seenu Ramasamy has teamed up with Arulnithi Tamilarasu for a rural crime thriller.
To be produced by Sundar Annamalai of Timeline Cinemas, Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music for the film and Sreekar Prasad is on board to take care of the editing department.
Says the director, “Arulnithi and I have been in talks for a long time to make a film. After Kanne Kalaimaane, when Maamanithan shooting was on, he spoke to me. Maamanithan dubbing has not started yet, so during this gap we thought we’ll work on this project.
The film’s story cannot be revealed, but it will be set in a village, added the director. The shoot for the movie is expected to begin in May in Sriviliputhur.
Seenu claims that this project, though set in a village, will be radically different from his early rural dramas. “The film, at its heart, will be a crime thriller that transpires in a unique setting.
I am halfway through the process of scripting right now. We are planning to go on floors in June. We will soon come out with an official announcement regarding the rest of the cast and crew.”
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi’s Maamanithan is being jointly produced Yuvan Shankar Raja’s YSR Studios and Baahubali 2’s Tamil Nadu distributor Rajarajan of K Productions.
