Ajith’s mom cremated; CM Vijay and industry pay tearful tributes

Actor Ajith Kumar and his family are grieving the loss of his mother, Mohini, who passed away in Chennai after a prolonged period of ill health. Her demise comes a few years after the death of her husband, P. Subramaniam.

Amid the condolences pouring in from across the film industry and political circles, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay personally visited Ajith’s residence to express his sympathies. The meeting drew considerable attention, with many viewing it as a heartfelt gesture of support during a difficult time for the actor and his family.

Family members, friends, and colleagues gathered at Ajith’s home in Injambakkam to pay their final respects. Later, Mohini’s mortal remains were taken to the Besant Nagar crematorium, where the funeral rites were performed in a private ceremony attended mainly by close relatives and a limited number of guests.

Ajith was actively involved in the final ceremonies, carrying out the last rites for his mother. Images and videos from the occasion showed the actor accompanying her on her final journey, reflecting the emotional bond he shared with her.

Reports indicated that Ajith returned to Chennai from Dubai soon after learning of his mother’s passing so that he could be with his family and participate in the funeral proceedings.
