Ajith Kumar escapes injury in racing incident

Actor Ajith Kumar has once again been involved in a racing accident, although he reportedly escaped without serious injury.

Ajith, who has pursued motorsport alongside his acting career, was participating in an endurance racing event in Europe when his car reportedly lost control and collided with another vehicle. Reports linked the incident to his participation in international endurance competitions.

The actor has previously experienced several crashes on the track without suffering major injuries.

In 2025, his car was involved in an accident during the GT4 European Series in Italy. Earlier that year, he survived a double rollover during the Porsche Sprint Challenge in Valencia, Spain. He had also walked away from a crash during preparations for the 24H Dubai endurance event.

Ajith’s involvement in motorsport extends back several years. He competed in the 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championship and later took part in competitions such as the Creventic 24H Series and GT4 European Series.

Speaking about racing after an accident in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ajith explained that his first concern is checking whether he or the car has been seriously damaged. If both are fit to continue, he said his focus quickly returns to completing the race rather than retiring from the event.

He also acknowledged the stress his racing activities can cause his family, while noting that accidents are an inherent part of motorsport. His celebrity status, he observed, often means his crashes attract considerably more attention than those involving other drivers.
