Ajith is my friend, I like Dhanush, Vijay is awesome: Shah Rukh

Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan, who has taken a break from acting following the dismal show of his last venture Zero, had an interaction with fans on Twitter.

When a fan of Dhanush asked SRK to express his view about his matinee-idol, the actor said: “I love him”. He also said that Ajith with whom he had worked in Santosh Sivan’s Ashoka, is his friend.

When a Vijay fan asked SRK to something about his favorite actor, the actor said that Vijay is awesome. Recently, a throwback video of Shah Rukh anchoring at a television show on Doordarshan emerged on the internet. It seems like he has had a stint as television show anchor on Doordarshan, way back in the early nineties.

The actor who became a household name after featuring in Fauji also signed up for anchoring gigs when he was just starting his career. A clip from that era, in which Shah Rukh can be seen co-anchoring a New Year’s Eve show on Doordarshan has taken over the internet.

His journey from a background artist, to a television anchor, then TV actor and then to tinseltown’s biggest superstar is remarkable. Now, giving a glimpse into his inspiring journey, fans have been sharing an old video of SRK from his anchoring days on social media.

In the viral video, Shah Rukh Khan, dressed in baggy trousers and shirt, introduces singer Kumar Sanu (who was in vogue in the Nineties) on stage by saying, “Kumar Sanu, wohi hai jo Kishore Kumar ke andaaz main gaatey hain?”
