Aiswharya Lekshmi awestruck by Asuran, praises Dhanush

Aishwarya Lekshmi from Malayalam cinema is all set to make her Kollywood debut with a Dhanush-Karthik Subbaraj film, shooting for which is currently on in London.

The cast and crew of the movie, including Dhanush, watched the actor’s latest release Asuran at a cinema hall in the United Kingdom and were impressed with the movie and Dhanush’s performance.

Taking to social media, Aishwarya said, “Just saw one of his most intense performances ever and look at this smile now..chamathu paiya smiles!!Calm before the storm..Dhanush Sir…Proud co star moment!”

She added: “And swipe to see our whole crew in awe of him and thIS brilliant movie !!!! @manju.warrier Pachaimmmaaa!!! You are pure pure amazingnesss and so is everything else about this ASURAN 💕”

Talking about Asuran, its director Vetrimaaran said in an interview to First Post: “Dhanush had an agreement signed with producer Thanu sir. They were in talks for a few projects before approaching me.

When I suggested adapting the novel Vekkai to them, they were impressed and immediately agreed. Though I started it as a small budget film which was supposed to be completed in a short span, it became a huge film with the presence of Dhanush and the ensemble of actors.”

Asuran which opened with largely positive reviews from the critics has picked up big, at the box office. On day-one, the film grossed 52 lakhs in Chennai. On day-2, Asuran registered a gross of rupees 56 lakhs and yesterday, it grossed nearly 60 lakhs. In three days, the film grossed around 1.68 crores in Chennai city.
