Director Mohan Raja is no longer part of the Tamil remake of Hindi blockbuster Andhadhun.
The Tamil version of the film was supposed to be helmed by Mohan Raja who has now walked out of the project. Thiagarajan who is holding the rights of the film has roped in JJ Fredrick of Ponmagal Vandhal fame to direct the remake.
Meanwhile, it is said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might play one of the leads in the film. “The team has approached her to essay Tabu’s role. They will be making the final announcements soon,”reports said. If this comes through, Prashanth and Aishwarya will be teaming up again after their blockbuster, Jeans, which was directed by Shankar.
Prashanth will be seen essaying the role played by Ayushmann Khurrana in the original flick. According to some reports, the makers have also roped in actors Karthik and Yogi Babu to play other key roles in the film.
Interestingly, Prashanth has lost nearly 23 kilograms to fit into the skin of the character. Apparently, the pre-production is going on in full swing.
The film is being bankrolled by actor Prashanth’s father under his home banner Thiagarajan. Initially, Mohan Raja was roped in as the director. However, since he was busy with other work, Fredrick was brought on board to helm the film.
