Director Aishwarya R Dhanush, the elder daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, has urged union minister M Venkaiah Naidu to include Stunt Choreography to the national film awards.
During a meeting with him n Chennai recently, she pressed this demand to the central minister.
It is to be noted that the 3 and Vai Raja Vai maker is currently busy with a documentary in honour of stuntmen in the film industry. The project is titled as ‘Cinema Veeran’ and Rajinikanth will be narrating the documentary.
“Met hon.ble min M.Venkaiah Naidu Sir n submitted a request letter to include stunt choreography category in national awards #CinemaVeeran,” she posted on her online page.
She added: “Told him would be elated if the category is included this yr.As it is #50YearsOfStuntUnion .my small tribute #CinemaVeeran #fingerscrossed.”
It may be recalled Aishwarya was recently appointed as the United Nations Women’s Goodwill Ambassador of India.
Aishwarya, who began her career working as an erstwhile assistant to director and Dhanush’s brother Selvaraghavan, shot to fame with her debut film 3.
