AIM for Seva presents a virtual event:

Shiva Shakti’ (dance-theatre by acclaimed Odissi exponent Sharmila Biswas) and
‘Psychology & Contemporary Management’ (talk by our Founder, Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati)

AIM for Seva will be presenting a virtual event—‘Shiva Shakti’ (a dance-theatre by acclaimed Odissi exponent Sharmila Biswas) and ‘Psychology & Contemporary Management’ (a talk by our Founder, Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati) on 13th December 2020 (6 to 7.30 p.m. IST).

AIM for Seva supports over 4,000 children across 104 Chatralayas in 16 states. Proceeds from the event will go towards Annadanam of 250 students  who continue to stay across the Chatralayas since the onset of Covid-19. Many of these children come from very humble families in remote villages and tribal settlements, and the support received from the Chatralayas is invaluable to them. Right now, our primary task is to fulfill their basic need of three nutritious meals every day – and we seek support for the same.

Shiva Shakti is a dance-theatre that has found its genesis at a time when we have all, as a world, been forced to introspect, cope and find expressions, anew…Shiva Shakti is a search to connect the animate and the inanimate world.  In the cosmic cycle, they come together again and again, to bring universal harmony.

Sharmila Biswas is an acclaimed dancer and choreographer in the Odissi school of dance. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Odissi Vision and Movement Center in Kolkata. Sharmila Biswas was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2012.

The dance-theatre will be followed by a talk by the Founder of AIM for Seva, Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati. In his talk, Pujya Swamiji will touch on a core aspect of our lives-desires.  Pujya Swamiji says that management of desires – ensuring you drive them, and that you are not driven by them – is success.  Duty performed without being bound by desires is ‘success’.

Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati was a profound thinker, philosopher, spiritual teacher and one of the greatest masters of Vedanta in contemporary times. The Founder of AIM for Seva, Swami Dayananda Educational Trust, Arsha Vidya Research & Publication Trust and Arsha Vidya Gurukulams, Pujya Swamiji’s empathy extended to all civilsations. He was posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2016.
